Why do I complain?
Yesterday a friend ended up in jail for trying to protect her children from her abusive husband.
Yesterday another friend had to deal with the effects of her ex-husband telling their four year old that it was Mommy's fault that Daddy doesn't live with them anymore. Even though Daddy went off to war and found another woman in Iraq, sending my friend an e-mail to let her know that he wouldn't be coming home.
Yesterday a dear friend, who miscarried recently after a long battle with infertility, found out someone close to them is surprisingly pregnant again. Making her wonder - why not her?
Yesterday John came home after a long day on the road and got down on the floor and taught Sadie how to play checkers.
Why in the world do I complain? We have our chaotic life that never seems to slow down, one "what's going on?" after another, but nothing like most of those who surround me. I need to be more aware of the blessings. I need to be more thankful. I need to hug my husband more.
