Just For Fun Fridays!

Ah, my friends.  My sweet, virtual friends.  I hope you had a great week.  Summer's here, along with the heat that suffocates (at least here in Arkansas), so I hope you had a week filled with water-related frivolity.

Do you know what I enjoyed doing this week?  Reading your links!!!  I read about dealing with conflict, the wondrous beauty of creation, motherhood for us Southern gals, developing a more grateful heart, how we all struggle with family size, found some new books to put on my reading list, remembered the importance of memorizing scripture, and found a kindred spirit in Jennifer at This Gal's Journey in that we are both allergic to change.  There were just SO many great posts!  Thank you to each and every one of you for linking, keep it up!

This week I would like to introduce you to

I have been greatly blessed by Nicole!  I have truly enjoyed following her and getting to know her through her encouraging and inciteful words.  She's got a GREAT system for scripture memorization, and she hosts a blog link up on Mondays - Workin' it Mondays!  Grab a cup of coffee, sit back and browse through the blog.  You'll love getting to know Nicole!  AND, she is hosting a giveaway right now!  Check it out!!!

I've had a hard time blogging this week, have you?  Something about summer laziness..  Show us what you've got!  This is a just for fun link-up, which means you can post your blogs about any subject (within reason, we are G rated...).  Please link back to the party so we can keep it going, and feel free to grab the button on the side to pretty up your page (because it's pink).

  1. I remember that suffocating AR heat all too well! Live the fist 22 yrs of my life in AR. Then God moved us to Rhode Island almost 15 yrs ago. Can't tell you how much I love being able to open my windows in July and August! The trade off is all the snow and cold from Nov. to April. But I'll take it! :)

  4. I am loving the freedom that summer brings as well! I'm looking forward to a little break in the heat that's coming in a few days.

I, too, have had a hard time blogging consistently this week, but it's been because of medical stuff my son has been dealing with. Thanks for hosting this link-up! And I have loved getting to know Nicole as well :)

  5. We've always heard that your heat is dry and wonderful! It's 45 degrees C, with the humidity and we're dripping! Where did you live in Canada? We're more east, about twenty minutes from Niagara falls...

    1. Ha, ha, hahahahaha!! Dry? Nope. Super humid. You can't go outside for five minutes without sweating, and it's only June! In August you start sweating as soon as you get out of the shower. I will say that we lived in South Louisiana for a while and it was MUCH worse there. Canada summers are something I daydream about. We lived in Winnipeg, MB for 2 1/2 years, and Calgary, AB for 4 years. Our oldest is Canadian, and our heart is still there. We're praying God sends us back one day!

    2. Ok TOTALLY eves-dropping here...I'm Canadian - from Calgary, AB actually - Our oldest is Canadian too. I relate to your daydreams of their summer. Of course I live that temp all winter here in Florida - but summers up north, sigh, YESSS!

  7. Arkansas sounds like Maine...but hot like this is a little unusual for June. We usually don't get the super hot and humid 'til mid July. Then again, this past March we had crazy warm weather like we usually get in June...so I guess it's just a mixed up year for weather. As long as we don't get snow in August, I'm good! :)
