What is your pursuit this year?
Everyone pursues something, whether we think we are or not. All of our lives are headed in a direction, no one is sitting still on road. SO, what direction is your life headed? Make your pursuing mean something, not just randomly end up somewhere and then wonder how you got there. So, again.....
What is your pursuit this year?
I would love the comments section today to be filled with declarations of pursuit!!!
And after you comment, link-up!
Pursuit is a cool word to ponder, Amy. What is my pursuit this year? One thing I am seeking is being deeper in my reading. I have selected prayfully three things to spend the full year on, reading, pondering, rewriting in my own words. Seems like in the fast paced world of internet, busyness, and to do lists, I skim a lot and want to change that at least a little this year. Pursing depth. good question!
ReplyDeleteWould it surprise you that a person putting a link on your blog is pursuing reaching out to other bloggers to spread the word about my blog? That's my practical pursuit. I'm also practicing gratitude and patience. Actually, I feel that patience follows from gratitude, so they are almost a singular pursuit. Great question! I like it so much better than resolutions!
ReplyDeleteMy pursuit this year is finishing all my classes for my degree and getting Patrick settled here in Germany so we can be married...hopefully this year! :D

My pursuit this year is to study God's word daily, not just read it but really understand, pray, and apply it. Also to pursuit my health to quit putting in on the bad burner and take care of myself because if I don't what good am I too my family. :)
ReplyDeleteOne thing I'm trying to do is to be a more fun, spontaneous parent. I want to try to say yes more to things like going to the park, playing board games I may not want to play, inviting more friends over for playdates. I want to do more things like cook hot dogs over the fire pit for dinner, go for ice cream after school (although I don't intend to eat any for a while) and stuff like that. See,"stuff like that". That's why I don't write a blog!
ReplyDeleteMy other browser was open doing some work, and I had the thought to do a spontaneous app giveaway :) My husband and I have published some iPhone/iPad education apps. (tictaptech.net)
Here are two free codes for "Mathopolis: Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Divsion". The first two to find them and type them in your iPhone/iPad can get your kids to practice their math facts with a new app!

Hope this is ok Amy!
And it looks like I spelled "division" wrong --it's a little early for me :)
DeleteThis year my goal is to be in a posture of Discipline - to be teaching and learning.

Embracing the Godly mess that occurs in my life - that is my pursuit. Might seem strange to some but God is working through it in me.
ReplyDeleteMy goal is to wait on God and be obedient to what He calls me to do. . . every day.
ReplyDeleteHello Amy,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link up. I am pursuing a closer walk with the Lord, to hear and quickly obey His voice.
Thanks for the link up! My pursuit is spending more time in God's word AND having more fun with my kids!
ReplyDeleteGreat word, my word is purposeful. I am in pursuit of God's will for my life - in all areas of my life. I am pursuing him like never before. I just want to be a better me, better mother, better servant, better professor, etc. Thanks for hosting the link up!
ReplyDeleteI'm pursuing balance this year - as I have felt completely out of control since my youngest was born, more than a year ago. Not sure exactly how to, but one step at a time right? Praying for it and hoping I stumble across more ways to balance out my life. So glad there are so many people aware that they need to pursue something and are trying, it makes me feel better about admitting what I'm working towards... Selfish I know, maybe that will lessen as I find more balance??

Hello Amy,
ReplyDeleteMy pursuit this year is one started last year and that is to continue to improve my physical health and to deepen my relationship with the Lord. My word for this year is Praise.
God Bless.

I am pursuing living life more intentionally...that is my One Word for the year ...Intentional. I don't want to just rush through life but to savor the moments and to be totally in the moments.
ReplyDeleteI can only do that as I draw clser to God by studying His Word and meditating on it.

So MANY thoughts here :0). My pursuit is to catch the vision God has for me as I approach my empty nest years. I have about three to go and I am a bit perplexed as to what I could be doing!
