Your Pursuits

Wow.  I am blown away by you guys.  As I sat reading through your declarations of pursuit I got so ENERGIZED!  I applaud you!  Did you read through them?  If not, take a minute to let these soak in:

-to be deeper in my reading
-to reach out to other bloggers to spread the word about my blog (aren't we all?)
-to practice gratitude and patience
-to finish all my schooling and get married
-to study God's word daily, not just read it but really understand, pray, and apply it
-to pursue my health and quit putting it on the back burner
-to be a more fun, spontaneous parent
-to be in a posture of Discipline - to be teaching and learning.
-to embrace the Godly mess that occurs in my life
-to wait on God and be obedient to what He calls me to do. . . every day.
-to pursue a closer walk with the Lord, to hear and quickly obey His voice.
-to spend more time in God's word AND having more fun with my kids!
-to pursue God's will for my life - in all areas of my life.
-to pursue balance this year
-to continue to improve my physical health and to deepen my relationship with the Lord.
-to live life more intentionally
-to catch the vision God has for me as I approach my empty nest years.

Do you see yourself in these pursuits?  At one time or another in my life I could have said every single one of them, (well, except the empty nest one, but I'm sure it's coming!) and I'm sure you could too.  Aren't you glad we live this life together?  Even as an introvert, I know that living this life alone would be sad and disheartening.

Imagine what 2014 will look like if we truly commit ourselves to the pursuits we declared?  Let's encourage each other to move forward, to not look back and be discouraged, but  "to follow close, to strive to gain, seek to attain, proceed with a method, continue in a course of action.."  and be the person God created us to be.

  1. Those pursuits are quite inspiring!! I have not really taken the time this year to make a "list", but I'm thinking I should:)
